There's nothing like watching your favourite blockbuster movie on the big screen with a bag of popcorn and surround sound.

Film lovers can now do just that in their own private showings at Showcase Cinemas, including the De Lux screens at Bluewater in Greenhithe.

People can hire an entire cinema for their very own private screening.

This brand new opportunity will give movie fans the chance to watch their favourite thrillers, rom-coms and horrors while enjoying the luxury of the big screen – with the added bonus of having the auditorium all to yourself.

The initiative is being backed by comedian Keith Lemon.

He said: “Having the cinema to yourself isn’t just a perk of being on the telly; now thanks to Showcase Cinemas anyone can do it.

"Grab your mates and get down to watch some of the amazing films out later this year like Spiderman: No Way Home, The Matrix Resurrections or Ghostbusters: Afterlife. I know I will.”

Private hire costs start at £140 but the Bluewater De Lux screen is more expensive with a starting cost of £200.

This allows up to 20 guests to attend the unique cinema experience. If you have a guest-list longer than that, then the price starts to creep up.

Showcase Cinemas hopes this will be the perfect venue for a birthday bash, hen party or just a premiere for those who like their own company and want to splash their cash.
