Hug a husky at Leeds Castle this Christmas.
For the first time, the historic venue, near Maidstone, is offering husky sleigh rides and the chance to have your photo taken with the beautiful dogs.
They are running this weekend – Saturday, December 14 and Sunday, December 15 – and daily from Saturday, December 21 to Christmas Eve.
The rides, only suitable for children less than 1.3m tall, cost £3.
More animal magic will be on offer, with the opportunity to meet Father Christmas’ reindeer, who will be grazing outside the castle until Christmas Eve.
In another first, Leeds Castle is also hosting a Christmas Market, open every day until Sunday, December 22.
It will feature German market-style chalets selling handmade gifts, traditional wreaths and festive garlands.
Many local suppliers will be offering home-made pies, meats, cheeses, fudge, chutneys, spirits and liqueurs, and there will also be traditional carousel rides.
Admission to Leeds Castle is priced £21 for adults, £13.50 for children aged four to 15 years, and free for under fours. The passes are valid for 12 months.
Winter day tickets are also available until Friday, January 31, priced £7, offering admission to the grounds, gardens and attractions only. Call 01622 765400.
