It’s been 15 years since Will, Simon, Neil and Jay, a group of socially awkward teens trying to navigate adolescence, last graced our TV screens in hit comedy show The Inbetweeners.
Actor Joe Thomas is looking back on his career and discussing how the E4 sitcom grew from a crude coming-of-age comedy to one of the channel’s most-watched shows in an intimate event.
Joe, who is also known for appearing in Fresh Meat and White Gold, will talk about his time on the show from 2008 to 2010, as well as the two films – The Inbetweeners Movie and The Inbetweeners 2 – with fans at Faversham’s Alexander Centre.
The one-off evening will include behind-the-scenes stories about the sitcom, as well as snippets from Joe’s appearances on shows such as Taskmaster and the Great Celebrity Bake Off, and questions from the audience.
Joe, who was a member of the Footlights at Cambridge, appeared alongside Simon Bird, Blake Harrison and James Buckley for five years as part of the Inbetweeners cast, which also featured Emily Atack and Greg Davies.
The show, written by Damon Beesley and Iain Morris, was nominated for two BAFTAs and won four British Comedy Awards during its run.
It also spawned two feature films and an American adaptation, which aired on MTV for one season in 2012.
Joe Thomas will be at the Alexander Centre in Faversham on Sunday, January 19. You can book tickets online here.
