Did you know trampolining burns more calories than running?
Bounce your way to fitness this New Year with a new programme of activites being launched by the county's newest trampoline park, Flip Out Chatham.
The centre in Dockside, which opened in November, is to launch sessions for a variety of ages from the first week in January.
New for 2017 are Flip Fit classes, aimed at getting adults fit through trampolining, Mini-Flipper sessions for under fives where mum or dad jump for free, and after-dark sessions, offering a two-hour nightclub experience with a live DJ.
Starting in the first week in January will also be six-week Little Ninja courses for ages five to over 12s, with three courses for different age groups.
Manager Lydon Smith said: “Following the Christmas excess Flip Out Chatham has planned a number of new activities to give people of all ages a fun way to get fit, without being tied into a gym membership.
“Trampolining is a great way to get fit, with jumping for 20 minutes bringing the same health benefits as running for an hour.
“We’ve already held some taster sessions and the feedback has been really encouraging."
Autism and disability friendly sessions are also starting from Tuesday, January 10, with appropriate sound and lighting, where one carer per person jumps for free.
