Music megastars Craig David and Rita Ora will be playing a one-off date in Kent this summer.
The pair will play an outdoor date at the Kent Event Centre in Detling, Maidstone, on Friday, August 31. The news was announced exclusively by Garry and Laura on kmfm Breakfast this morning.
Performing tracks such as 7 Days, Walking Away, When the Bassline Drops and I Know You, Craig David will bring his full live band for the summertime date.
Announcing the gig, he said: "I’m really looking forward to bringing my show and band to Maidstone in August. This will be one of only a handful of shows I am doing in the UK this summer so let’s make it big night and a time to party!
"Having Rita Ora as my special guest makes this even more special as we worked together back in the day and I’ve always been a big fan of her and her music."
Having sold 15 million albums worldwide, being a multi Brit Award and Grammy
nominated artist, and an Ivor Novello Award winner, Craig was also the winner of Best Male at the 2016 MOBO Awards and last year alone he had 117 million single streams.
His last two albums were both critically acclaimed and massive hits – with Following My Intuition at No.1 and more recently The Time Is Now reaching No.2.
Rita Ora has recently equalled the Official Chart record for the most Top 10 singles by a British female artist. For You has become her 12th Top 10 single which smashes the record held for 30 years.
Fresh from her performance at this year’s Brit Awards, including performing For You - the title track from 50 Shades of Grey alongside Liam Payne - Rita has a new album on the horizon for May and comes to Kent fresh from a sold out indoor tour.
Tickets for the standing concert cost £60 for the Golden Circle, £45 for Silver and £39.50 for Bronze. There are booking fees.
They go on general sale on Friday, March 16, at 9am.
