Episodes of the BBC's new drama series, Strike: The Silkworm, written by JK Rowling under a pseudonym, filmed in Kent will be broadcast this month.
Filming took place for The Strike Series, starring Kent-born actor Tom Burke as detective Cormoran Strike, at Penshurst Place in March.
Two episodes of the drama will feature Penshurst as a location. Penshurst’s famous medieval Baron’s Hall, Porcupine Pantry and the outside Lime Walk will all be seen in the drama.
The first will be screened on BBC1 at 9pm on Sunday, September 10.
Ben Thomas, general manager at Penshurst, said: “The Strike Series has got off to a wonderful start and is proving hugely entertaining.
"We look forward to seeing our local Kent landmark, Penshurst Place, feature prominently in the second case the protagonist Cormoran Strike needs to solve during The Silkworm.”
“Eagle eye viewers will recognise several familiar spots around Penshurst Place including the Lime Walk and Porcupine Pantry.
"I can’t give the plot away, other than to say that the scene shot in the Baron’s Hall is not for the faint-hearted.“
The series is based on the novels The Cuckoo's Calling, The Silkworm and Career of Evil, which were written by JK Rowling under the name Robert Galbraith.
