It's bargain hunters heaven: Black Friday is here.

While some national retailers' deals may not be all they seem, we've sought out some Kentish deals which could help you enjoy an extra taste of the county, and a merry Christmas.

As part of Black Friday, there's 50% off selected short breaks at Port Lympne Hotel and Reserve in Hythe and savings on Animal Encounters at Howletts Wild Animal Park in Canterbury.

You could save money on a stay at Giraffe Cottage with a safari and dinner cooked by a personal chef or the Bubble, a see-through dome giving you a 180 degree view of the reserve.

From now until midnight on Monday, November 26 you can go onto the website and fill in a form to register and you get the Black Friday promo code sent to you.

Leeds Castle has slashed up to 40% off its short breaks and stays specially for Black Friday.

You can save 40% on a stay at Battel Hall, the newly-restored luxury manor house in Leeds village, for bookings made before the end of the year to be taken by February 15, up to 20% off B&B stays in the Stable Courtyard and 10% off all other mid week stays in its cottages until March next year. Smyths Toys Superstores - which have stores at Aylesford and in Ashford - are offering its Black Friday deals through to Monday, November 26.

You can pick up a Nerf Rhino Fire Blaster for £49.99 - saving £20 - a Monopoly Cheaters Edition for £14.99 - saving £6 - and LEGO's Harry Potter Newt's Case of Magical Creatures - the film starring Eddie Redmayne, Fantastic Beasts the Crimes of Grindelwald, is out now - for £35.99 - saving 20%.

Also for Black Friday - and Cyber Monday - you can get a free overnight stay on a Sunday in January when you buy a £75 gift card for Bistro du Vin.

There's also bargains to be had on gig tickets from Dreamland in Margate, open to mailing list subscribers, with tickets from £7.50 plus a booking free.

There are extra reductions on top of the reduced prices on offer at the Ashford Designer Outlet. They include 20% off in Radley and 25% off both Hobbs and Karen Millen and 40% off at Coach.

The majority of Bluewater's stores will also have plenty of offers. There's 25% off selected toys in the Disney store, jeweller Fraser Hart has offers and you can get money off designer handbags from Radleys. The centre is extending its opening hours to allow for the anticipated increase in shoppers.

A spokesman said: “Many of our 300 stores will be featuring great Black Friday offers today and over the weekend. To give guests increased shopping time Bluewater will be open from 8am to 10pm on Friday and 9am to 10 pm on Saturday.”
