The late, great artist Leonard Cohen was one of the many musicians and artists who left us in 2016.
The Canadian poet, novelist, and singer-songwriter, who died in November, is widely considered one of the greatest lyricists of all time, who penned the much-covered Hallelujah.
His work explored religion, politics, isolation, sexuality and personal relationships.
On Saturday, January 7, The Lighthouse in Deal will celebrate his life and work with an evening of live music, classic performance projections and DJs.
It will start with concert footage projected on the in-house cinema screen, before moving on to performances of some Cohen classics from local musicians, including members of The Lighthouse team and special guests. Guest DJs will play Cohen-inspired selections.
Entry is free, with the event starting at 8.30pm.
