The acclaimed production of Les Misérables is coming to Kent.
This new staging of the iconic musical was first conceived by Cameron Mackintosh in 2009 to celebrate its 25th anniversary, and has since taken the world by storm.
And it will be showing in Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury next year.
Set in 19th century Paris, the musical is a story of love, politics and justice, culminating in the 1832 Rebellion.
Songs include I Dreamed a Dream, On My Own and Do You Hear the People Sing?
The second longest running West End show, Les Misérables has been seen by more than 120 million people worldwide in 52 countries and in 22 languages.
Originally touring the UK throughout 2009 and 2010, the new staging comes to the Marlowe from Friday, September 25 to Saturday, October 24.
The theatres’s chief executive, Deborah Shaw, said: "We are thrilled to be working with Cameron Mackintosh for the first time, to present this musical phenomenon at the Marlowe.
"It will be one of the biggest productions we’ve ever staged here - and a real treat for Kent audiences to experience such an iconic piece of music theatre history.
"This production, based on the novel by Victor Hugo, is inspired the hugely successful movie version starring Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway and Eddie Redmayne. "
Scenery is inspired by the paintings of Victor Hugo, and has to date already been seen in countries including North America, Brazil, Mexico, Korea and Japan.
Tickets go on sale to Marlowe Friends on Monday, September 16 and to general public on Monday, September 23.
You can get them via the Marlowe Website or the box office on 01227 787787.
