Christmas skating doesn’t get much better than this. Bluewater’s ice rink covers 6,000-square feet and is inside, guaranteeing the skating will go ahead whatever the weather. Silver Blades Ice Rink in Gillingham is the county’s permanent rather than seasonal ice rink. The full-size rink offers seating for more than 1,000 people and a variety of sessions, for beginners upwards, will be available.

Now in its fourth year, you can wrap up warm and head to the ice rink at Calverley Grounds, Tunbridge Wells. Returning on Friday, November 21, the outdoors rink will be open seven days a week, except Christmas Day, until January 4. It’s situated within the natural amphitheatre of the park grounds and offers picturesque views.
