Everybody loves a man in uniform in Luke Greenfield's raucous comedy, co-written by Nicholas Thomas.
Former pro football player Ryan O'Malley (Jake Johnson) and videogame designer Justin Miller (Damon Wayans Jr) are dreading their college reunion party.
They turn up dressed as police officers, mistakenly believing the party to be fancy dress, and make a swift exit. On the way home, the roommates notice that members of the public treat them with respect simply because of their bogus uniforms and the men use this newfound self-confidence to track down the men who crashed Ryan's car.
The friends are giddy with excitement but Justin knows what they are doing is wrong.
However, Ryan buys a police patrol car off eBay and persuades Justin to slip back into the uniform so they can continue their fantasy cop lives.
While in costume, the two men become embroiled in the real-life hunt for sadistic Russian mobster Mossi Kasic (James D'Arcy) and they must put everything they have learnt from TV shows to good use to apprehend the hoodlum.
