Nu-metal band Limp Bizkit are set to headline a huge outdoor concert next year.
The American group are part of the second wave of artists announced for the Margate Summer Series.
The band, fronted by Fred Durst and best known for singles such as Rollin’ and Break Stuff, will play at the town’s vintage fairground Dreamland on Saturday, June 15.
The ‘90s outfit, who have sold more than 40 million records worldwide, were originally due to headline the open-air venue this summer but the gig was cancelled because of scheduling conflicts, instead being pushed back to next year.
The second wave of artists also includes former The Verve frontman Richard Ashcroft.
The two-time Ivor Novello winner will perform some of his best-loved hits, such as Bittersweet Symphony, the Drugs Don’t Work and a Song for the Lovers, at Dreamland on Friday, July 12.
The singer achieved success as a solo artist after departing the band in 1999, including three Top 5 studio albums in the UK.
Tickets for both Limp Bizkit and Richard Ashcroft go on sale on Friday, December 8 at 9am and can be booked online here.
The second announcement for Margate’s 2024 line-up also includes ska band Madness and Scottish rock group Simple Minds, who will both be performing in June.
In July, Manic Street Preachers and Suede will be teaming up for a night of ‘90s nostalgia while punk band IDLES will be making their Dreamland debut.
The final month of the series, August, will include concerts from vocal powerhouse Paloma Faith, popstar Becky Hill and UK garage pioneer DJ Spoony, who will also be joined on stage by So Solid Crew and a host of other collaborators.
They join the line-up alongside previously announced artists Jack Savoretti, JLS Nile Rodgers and CHIC, Jess Glynne, Craig David and Busted.
Tickets for these concerts are already on sale via the Dreamland website.
