Biennial water spectacular the Hythe Venetian Fete is being held on Wednesday, August 21.
Spectators can watch daylight and evening processions of decorated floats along the town’s Royal Military Canal.
Gates open at 4pm and following the daylight parade at 7pm there will be an interval for spectators to enjoy the funfair, stalls and refreshments around the site.
As dusk falls at 8.50pm, there will be a firework display, then hundreds of fairy lights will be switched on before the floats, now illuminated, parade again.
The north bank, on the town side, has reserved seating available, priced from £6 for children (aged 14 and under), and from £11 for adults. Access to the unreserved areas on the north and south banks is £9 for adults, £4 for children, with advance online discounts available.
