Where has the time gone? The Turner Contemporary gallery in Margate will be 10 this year, and wants to celebrate through both art and its Kent links.
It marked its fifth anniversary with a party atmosphere, and guests included artist Tracey Emin and Bake Off star Chetna Makan.
As part of its anniversary celebrations this year, Margate's Turner Contemporary is holding a special exhibition - and if you are a local artist, you could be involved.
Back in 2009, the gallery hosted an open exhibition in Margate High Street, celebrating creativity across Kent and, to mark its upcoming anniversary, wants to hear from practising artists living and working in Kent and Medway or those who studied here to submit their work for an open exhibition to be held across all four of its galleries.
Community groups will then curate and select the exhibition.
Age UK Thanet, Canvas 4 Equality, Margate Pride and Turner Contemporary’s access group have been chosen to do this, with each then taking over one of the gallery's spaces, working with the Turner's programming team to put it on.
Submissions need to be in by Sunday, February 14, with works selected by the end of March, and the exhibition is set to open this summer for six months.
