Loose Women star Brenda Edwards will be swapping daytime TV for a night at the ball this Christmas.
The chat show panellist will be spending the panto season in Kent, starring as the Fairy Godmother in Cinderella at the Churchill Theatre.
The Bromley theatre will be putting on its annual festive show from Saturday, December 2 to Sunday, December 31.
The Songs of Praise presenter first became a familiar face in 2005 when she took part in the X Factor and has since gone on to appear in a number of musical productions including Chicago, We Will Rock You and Hairspray.
Since 2019, Brenda has been a regular panellist alongside the likes of Ruth Langsford, Nadia Sawalha, Coleen Nolan and Janet Street-Porter on ITV daytime show Loose Women.
She has often spoken on the show about the death of her son, renowned music entrepreneur and producer Jamal Edwards, who died in February 2022 of a cardiac arrhythmia at his mother’s home in Acton.
Joining the singer as part of this year’s panto cast is children’s entertainer and comedian John Kimmons.
The comic, best known for his ventriloquism and magic acts, has appeared on shows such as the Sorcerer’s Apprentice, Dick and Dom’s Hoopla and Crackerjack, as well as being a resident entertainer for Disney Cruise Line.
Playing the role of much-loved sidekick Buttons will be Scottish actor and singer Steven Dalziel.
The musical theatre performer has starred in a number of productions including Grease, Seasons of Larson and Blippi: The Wonderful World.
Matt Powder, general manager at the Churchill Theatre, said: “The Churchill Theatre is thrilled that the utterly magical Cinderella will be taking over our stage this Christmas after our record-breaking panto last year!
“We’re looking forward to welcoming this hugely talented cast who are sure to put on a fabulous show, perfect for the whole family.”
The panto opens on Saturday, December 2 and can be booked online here.
