The big screen is back in Maidstone after six months - and it's bigger than ever.
The newly-refurbished Odeon Luxe Maidstone has welcomed back film fans after a transformation during lockdown and What's On is giving away two tickets this week to try it out for yourself.
The new look features 615 new, handmade recliner seats across eight refurbished screens, including a new cutting-edge iSense screen, which boasts Odeon's clearest sound and brightest picture and is 15m wide and taller than a double decker bus.
In-screen lighting technology minimises distractions to provide a truly undisturbed cinematic experience.
The new reclining seating gives guests triple the legroom and more personal space, so is perfect for today's socially-distanced viewing.
The cinema has also been carefully designed to meet government guidelines and to be a safe environment for all.
Maidstone Borough Council secured the head lease for the Lockmeadow complex, which is home to the cinema in November, and plans to refresh it to make it a go-to destination for locals.
General manager Ania Karnas said: “We are delighted to upgrade Odeon Maidstone to a Luxe cinema, bringing the premium experience to Maidstone film fans as they return to the big screen."
What's On has a competition to win two tickets to give away to a screening on the state of the art iSense screen at the Odeon Luxe Maidstone. Pick up a copy of your local KM Group paper, with What's On inside to find out how to enter.
