Visitors to farming attraction Kent Life in Maidstone this weekend will have two treats to enjoy.
The site in Lock Lane, Sandling, has recently celebrated the arrival of two baby meerkats.
The first meerkat to move in was dad Shilo, who arrived around a year ago, followed soon after by a mate for him, Jess.
Their two new pups have been named after hops grown on the site, which has a strong hop farming heritage, and have been called Goldie and Fuggles.
The family live on the working farm, where there are also pigs, sheep, alpacas and the Kent Owl Academy, and which will also see a return visit from children’s favourite The Gruffalo, of Julia Donaldson’s book, this weekend.
He made his debut at the Sandling attraction last year and returns on Sunday, September 24, meeting youngsters at intervals throughout the day.
