Summer may be over, but that means it’s time to think autumnal treats and comfort food.
What better way to tempt your taste buds than with the foodie heaven arriving at Leeds Castle this weekend in the shape of the annual food festival.
See, smell and taste goods from local food and drink producers and see live cookery demonstrations from top chefs, including celebrity chef Jean-Christophe Novelli, who will be there on Saturday, September 9.
There will be more than 70 food and drink stalls including local producers, plus children’s workshops and cookery classes, as well as wine and beer pairings.
New this year will be a Talks and Tastings Hub with a programme of free talks and demonstrations with opportunities to taste, learn, meet and talk with chefs and producers.
Besides the tempting tastings, there will also be activities for children including garden games, a storyteller and face painting, as well as roaming musicians the Silk Street jazz band, who will serve up the sounds to go with your supper throughout the weekend.
