More on KentOnline
You don’t have to have a driving licence to appreciate Leeds Castle’s Motors by the Moat.
There are enough wheels of all shapes and sizes for little children – and big kids – to get them revved up at the Maidstone attraction.
Hundreds of vintage, high performance and classic cars from around the world will be gleaming on the castle lawns, with the castle as their backdrop.
Visitors can see a replica of the 1995 Batmobile and take a selfie with Mater and Lightning McQueen look-a-like cars.
For fans of the film Batman Forever, there is a chance to see a replica of the imposing Batmobile that could defy gravity, climbing some steep walls.
As part of Leeds Castle’s commemorations of the Second World War at the castle, there will be military vehicles from the period, including powerful British tanks.
Part of the fun will be mini fairground rides, live music sung by the Adam Chandler Band and rides in an RAF Red Arrows simulator.
DETAILS
Motors by the Moat at Leeds Castle will be on Saturday, May 6 and Sunday, May 7. Entry to the castle is £24.90 and £16.90 for children, for a year’s ticket, with under-fours free.
