Visitors to celebrity chef Marco Pierre White’s new restaurant in the county already feel his presence when they enter, as his image is all around.
But this weekend, the chef who has curated the menu himself, will be there in person as he attends his Steakhouse Bar and Grill at the Best Western, Clifton Hotel in Folkestone, for a meet and greet and book signing.
The restaurant opened on the Folkestone seafront back in August, offering sumptuous surroundings and top notch food with a mix of childhood favourites and modern day delicacies and an extensive cocktail menu.
Marco, once the youngest chef to hold three Michelin stars, said: “My restaurants are not stuffy and pretentious, instead they are about enjoying your evening, with great food and drink in relaxed surroundings and quite simply having a good time.
“The menu is all about classic, recognisable dishes, cooked simply using the finest ingredients to deliver delicious food.
“Delicious food, generous portions and great service; all delivered in a relaxed, welcoming setting. I call it affordable glamour.”
He will be at the restaurant, which has 82 covers, on Friday, November 30. The price for the event is £39.95 per person which includes a three-course lunch, a glass of fizz, meet and greet with Marco and a signed book.
