It’s one of the most talked-about gigs of the year, and it could have people talking for months to come.
Gorillaz bring the sell-out Dream Dayz to Dreamland on Saturday, June 10, for their first official UK show since the Plastic Beach 2010 world tour.
They have teased fans with news that they will be joined by former Britpop rival Noel Gallagher and former Blur bandmate Graham Coxon when they play the Margate venue.
The one-day extravaganza, which sold out quickly, is the band’s UK comeback, following on from a surprise live show at Printworks in London.
Singer Damon Albarn reportedly told the crowd that virtually all the artists who appear on the album would be appearing at Dreamland with them. “They’ll be all here when we play Margate,” he said.
The festival will take place across three stages with a line-up arranged by band leaders Damon and Jamie Hewlett, headlined by Gorillaz. The sell-out will have support from Vince Staples, De La Soul, Fufanu, Danny Brown, Little Simz, Kali Uchis, Popcaan and Kilo Kish. Dreamland launched its newly renovated outdoor space for the event.
