TV star Lesley Joseph is set to play Miss Hannigan in a production of Annie in Kent in the New Year.

Best known for playing Dorien Green in the hugely successful sitcom Birds of a Feather alongside Pauline Quirke and Linda Robson, Lesley will appear at the Orchard Theatre in Dartford.

She has already played the role in the West End on a national tour, and her theatre credits include Calendar Girls and Hot Flush!

The musical will be staged at the theatre from Monday, January 25 to Saturday, January 30.

She will be joined by Alex Bourne as Oliver Warbucks, Holly Dale Spencer as Grace Farrell, Jonny Fines as Rooster and Djalenga Scott as Lily in the musical tale of young orphan Annie.
