Explore the diverse landscape of the Kent countryside with fossil hunting, pond dipping and wildlife spotting.

Throughout the summer, GeoAdventures - a series of outdoor activities dotted around the Kent Downs - are giving kids a chance to enjoy the great outdoors at some of our best-preserved country parks and wildlife reserves.

The workshops all take place at one of Kent’s Geosites such as Samphire Hoe in Dover, Kits Coty in Aylesford, the River Darent near Dartford and Folkestone Harbour.

Geosites are locations with geological significance that represent our varied landscapes, whether that be due to their geography, educational resources or cultural importance.

Most events are free, and some have a ‘low cost’ ticket option to help keep the activities affordable for families during the school holidays.
