Rambles and Ramblings is a diary of 11 circular walks in Kent including Blue Bell Hill and St Mary Hoo, with a potted history along the way.
Many of them were rambles he organised during the past year in partnership with What’s On.
Geoff, who lives in Chatham, said: “I always write up my notes after every walk, so it wasn’t too hard to put them together in a book and it seemed a great way of raising money for charity.
“Also, my first book Heroic Yomps, which offers walks that link more than 20 Shepherd Neame pubs, has proved very popular since it was published two years ago, so there seemed to be a demand out there.
“Each of the walks in this book is associated with significant Kent people, places or events. In addition to detailed walk instructions, each walk is accompanied by a miscellany of thoughts and ramblings.
"Some I’ve found through research but many leads have been given to me by local people, other walkers and people I’ve met whilst ‘refuelling’!
“I hope this book will be of interest to people who want a bit more than just a calorie burn when they go on a walk – they want to learn new things about the area.”
Rambles and Ramblings is on sale at Cotswold Outdoor Leisure at Newnham Court, Maidstone, or at www.geofframbler.co.uk
