A new festival is set to bring a string of top tribute acts to Maidstone's Mote Park this summer.

The Rock the Mote Festival will be held at the park on Saturday, August 3.

The day of performances celebrating some of the biggest acts from the past and present will feature Coldplay tribute Viva La Coldplay, Oasis and Blur tribute the Britpop Collective, Protostereo - Killers and Muse tribute, Foo Fighters GB and Fleetwood Bac.

There will also be DJs, a beer, cider and ale village, street food, cocktails and fairground rides.

Organisers also want festivalgoers to dig out their leg warmers, flairs and mullets, and embrace fancy dress from the 70s, 80s and 90s, as there will be prizes for the best dressed.

The event runs from 2pm to 10pm.
