Combine two passions - cake and canines - and you have the first Great British Bark Off to come to Ashford.
The free family event, hosted by LoveAshford, will be on Saturday, August 31 and will have something for everyone, including free cake.
It comes as the Great British Bake Off hits our screens again for another year.
Does your dog have what it takes to wow the panel of judges or are your baking skills good enough to win a prize? The judges will be checking there are no soggy bottoms.
There'll be tasty treats to try from local food stalls, as well as dog accessories to pick up, and local food businesses, or local people with a passion for baking can take part in the cake competition.
Spaces to register your dog in advance are now full but there will be a limited number of spaces on the day.
The bark off fun kicks off at the Bandstand in the town centre at noon, with live music to follow from 1pm.
With wagging tails at the ready, the dog show will take place between 2pm and 3pm.
The lucky winners will be able to get their paws on prizes including treats from the Curious Brewery.
Local animal charities and community groups will be in attendance while kids can get into the spirit of things by having their face painted.
Simply email your details to loveashford@ashford.gov.uk if you’re interested in taking part in the cake competition.
Last year's event was held at the Hop Farm Family Park near Paddock Wood.
