Pop star Olly Murs will play in Kent next summer as part of his UK tour.
The singer, who shot to fame in ITV's X Factor in 2009, will play the Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence, Canterbury, on Friday, July 7, 2017.
Following on from his spring arena tour, Olly will come to Kent as part of 20 outdoor dates across the UK. He announced his 2017 tour during an appearance on the Graham Norton Show on BBC1 on Friday.
He said: "I am thrilled to play at The Spitfire Ground in Kent. Outdoor shows are so much fun and I am looking forward to performing my biggest songs on my biggest outdoor tour.”
This year has seen Olly celebrate his fourth successive No.1 album, 24 HRS, making him the most successful solo artist ever to come from the X Factor.
New single Years and Years is the new album’s centrepiece, and follows radio favourites You Don’t Know Love and Grow Up, which Olly recently performed on the X Factor.
Before his summer tour next year, he will play 23 UK shows including 3 O2s and the opening night of the Teenage Cancer Trust shows in the spring.
Since Olly shot to fame in 2009, he has recorded four multi-platinum albums, had four No.1 singles and total record sales of more than 10 million.
Liz Doogan-Hobbs MBE, CEO of promoter LHG Live: "We are delighted to be working with Olly Murs on his UK summer tour. Olly is one of the best male solo artists in the UK and the perfect artist for our venues. We expect each show to have a great party atmosphere and look forward to hearing his most popular hits."
