Step back to wartime with an all-singing, all-dancing weekend of music, fashion and dance.

Energetic vintage dance troupe the Cinque Ports Lindy Hoppers and singing trio My Favourite Things will be turning a trip on the Kent and East Sussex Railway into a Fabulous 40s experience on Saturday, May 21 and Sunday, May 22.

A range of civilian and military vehicles from jeeps to lorries will be on display and there will be a Spitfire flypast on the Sunday.

Steam trains run throughout the weekend between Tenterden and Bodiam. The Cavell Van, which was featured in Michael Portillo’s series about the Railways of the Great War on BBC 2, will also be on display. It carried the coffin of Nurse Edith Cavell and Captain Charles Fryatt in 1919 and the unknown warrior in 1920.

The Colonel Stephens Railway Museum at Tenterden Station will also be open, with free entry.
