Family music festival Music on the Green is back on the Green at Bearsted, near Maidstone, this bank holiday weekend.
The not for profit event, which donates funds to charity each year, is a family fun day with a line-up of local music acts throughout the day.
The festival, which will be held on Sunday, August 25 from noon through to 9.30pm - allowing for little ones to toddle home to bed - has a family friendly feel throughout.
Take a picnic and head to the Green; pick your spot and then sit back and relax and be entertained throughout the day.
Music acts confirmed include Toot ‘n’ Skamen, The Starks Family Band, The Sound Casters, One Drum, Counterfeit Beatles and Reyes with LFX rounding off the night. DJ Apollo Funk will keep things buzzing through the stage breaks.
In the acoustic tipi acts include Jack Bowden, Kirsty Macleod, Daisy Tickel and Fred Clark.
But besides the music there is also a host of family activities, with a kids’ zone with drum and hula hoop workshops and juggling sessions, and free face painting. Providing some of the refreshments will be the Tipi Beer Tent, Scoff and Sip’s ice cream van.
The event has raised some £50,000 for local charities over the years. It sells out each year but there are some tickets left, costing £16, £11 for four to 15-year-olds and £1.50 for threes and under. There is a small booking fee. To book, visit musiconthegreen.co.uk
