Artists across the county will throw open their studio doors to the public over the coming fortnight.
South East Open Studios will see creatives from metal workers to ceramicists, and from textile makers to painters invite questions and comments on their work from visitors.
The event is from this Friday, June 6, to Sunday, June 22.
Towns with particularly artistic communities are coming together to make trails for art lovers to follow. Twenty artists are exhibiting in and around Tenterden, for example.
Rowena McWilliams, of Smallhythe Studio in Smallhythe Road, said: “Many of the artists are demonstrating in their studios. Nearly all are offering refreshments, and all are open the first two weekends, so you can visit several on the same tour.”
South East Open Studios (SEOS) chairman Paul Williams said: “This is the most extensive open-studio event in the South East. For 17 days, artists and makers across Kent create a once-a-year unmissable opportunity.”
There will be free demonstrations, the chance to ask questions, and time to buy original pieces and to learn more about your community.
Entry into all the venues is free.
