Open air cinema screenings scheduled for this week have moved to a new venue, after council bosses decided to halt large-scale events on council land.
Rochester Castle, which is managed by Medway Council on behalf of English Heritage, had been due to host five nights of films with the Luna Cinema , from Wednesday, September 30.
But as a result of the decision by the council, the events have been moved to Leeds Castle near Maidstone instead.
A statement from Rochester Castle said: "Due to a decision by Medway Council to half large scale public events on council land in the current heightening of the Government's Covid-19 restrictions, the Luna Cinema's socially-distanced open air screenings.. will now move to Leeds Castle, 13 miles away."
But added: "We look forward to hosting the Luna Cinema again next summer at Rochester Castle and in the meantime hope everyone who has tickets will enjoy a film under the stars at Leeds Castle instead."
Two nights are now sold out, but there are still tickets available for Pretty Woman on Thursday, October 1; Rocketman on Friday, October 2 and for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire on Sunday, October 4.
