A new outdoor detective challenge offering super sleuths the chance to step into Benedict Cumberbatch's shoes as Sherlock has launched in the county.
The outdoor version of the Sherlock Escape experience which was launched in London last year has been set up in Canterbury.
Recruits are asked to join ‘The Network’ and head off on a walking route featuring landmarks around the city, alongside a series of clues, conundrums, and codes that need to be cracked in this original Sherlock-inspired outdoor detective challenge.
Participants will follow in the footsteps of the great detective as teams of 2-6 take part in an outdoor digital mission with a twist.
Mixing gameplay with story, Sherlock: The Official Outdoor Game sees teams working to unravel the plot while being guided by Sherlock’s brother, Mycroft, who will send requests for information, ask for help with tasks and guides groups as they travel on foot across Canterbury.
The live Holmes investigation is for ages seven and up and tests players' skills and mental ability as they gather key evidence, find clues, crack codes and solve the mystery, while getting clues through animated videos, voicemail and text messaging as they go along via an app.
Group times of Sherlock: The Official Live Game will be staggered to avoid teams coming into contact with eachother players throughout their game.
To book, at £15 per person or £35 for a family of four go to thegameisnow.com
To celebrate the launch, there will be a competition with free tickets on the Instagram page @221b.
