Bathroom selfies just got a more stylish at one Kent attraction.
In keeping with its title as one of the most Instagrammable locations in the UK, amusement park Dreamland has given its bathrooms a designer revamp so they provide a better backdrop for the social media snaps.
Interior designer Amy Exton of Margate Location House came up with the look for the male and female toilets inside the main concourse building using her signature acid-aesthetic style using pinks, reds and greens.
Dreamland chief executive Eddie Kemsley said: “Everything Dreamland does is bold, bright and a little bit brilliant, so bringing in Margate Location House to redesign the bathrooms was an obvious choice for us.”
Instagram hotspot Margate Location House is a three-storey kaleidoscopic property in Cliftonville, Margate, that has become a leading local hot spot for fashion, interior, music and commercial shoots.
Artist Amy moved to Margate in 2016, and designed and launched Margate Location House before renting it out for photoshoots, events, and as a boutique Airbnb.
She said: “I was asked by Dreamland to redesign their bathrooms in the style of Margate Location House.
"The finished bathrooms feel very on-brand with both Margate Location House and Dreamland, and create a fun, tropical, 1980s Miami inspired space to take a bathroom selfie."
Eddie Kemsley added: “Amy’s unique style and vision has turned our bathrooms into a talking point, and we’ve now got yet another stunning Instagrammable location for guests. No part of the park is off limits for us when it comes to creating photo opportunities for our guests.”
