PYO goes large this time of year. Here's where you can go to pick your own pumpkins in time for Halloween.
PYO PUMPKINS, BELUNCLE FARM, HOO
PYO Pumpkins, at Beluncle Farm, in Hoo, is one of the UK’s biggest PYO pumpkin farms. There's a variety to choose from, including the traditional orange globes - ideal for carving - and a variety of sizes and colours, from pink, blue, white, green and yellow. Pries start at £1 per pumpkin. The 40-acre family farming business will be open throughout half term until Sunday, October 28 from 10am to 4pm. A donation is made to the chosen charity Crohn’s and Colitis UK & Crohn’s in Childhood Research Association. Find the site at Beluncle Farm in Stoke Road, Hoo. CHILTON MANOR FARM, SITTINGBOURNE
The family farm and shop has a good spread of pick your own possibilities just waiting to tempt you down into the countryside. Its annual PYO pumpkin opportunities run... until the pumpkins run out. The farm is in Highsted Road, Sittingbourne, ME9 0AA. For more details visit chiltonmanorfarm.co.uk.
PUMPKIN MOON, MAIDSTONE & RAINHAM
This is the third year Pumpkin Moon has been offering a day out picking pumpkins and squashes. This year there will be more than 70 varieties of pumpkin, squash and gourd to choose from, plus fun activities, including a maize maze, face painting, story telling and pumpkin painting. There are also two sites - at Old Chatham Road, Sandling, and in Lower Rainham Road, Rainham. Entry is free and visitors pay for what they pick. The sites are open through to Sunday, October 28. MILEBUSH FARM, WEST FARLEIGH, MAIDSTONE
The West Farleigh farm started doing PYO pumpkins last year and this year is offering picking every day throughout the month of October. The site will be open from 9am to 5pm every day, with pumpkins costing from £1. Entry is free and there is parking. Head to Shingle Barn Lane, West Farleigh, ME15 0PN.
PICK YOUR OWN, SEVINGTON, ASHFORD
The family-owned farm will be open to pumpkin pickers through to Sunday, October 28 for the half term holidays. The venture raises funds for charity and this year 21 Together is the chosen charity with Hamstreet Academy & Nursery School. Pumpkins cost between £1 and £8. SAFFERY FARM, SELLING
Saffery Farm at Selling, near Faversham, has been in business for 35 years and its PYO pumpkin season has a popular following. You can visit throughout half term until Friday, October 26, before opening again at the weekend on Saturday, October 27 and Sunday, October 28.

PUMPKIN HUNT
Demelza Hospice Care for Children is staging a cross-county pumpkin hunt on Thursday, October 25 and Friday, October 26 in Gravesend, Sevenoaks, West Malling and Whitstable.
Pumpkins will be on display around the town in shops and and at local landmarks and children can hunt for them while picking up treats from local businesses along the way. Fancy dress is encouraged and the best costume in each town will win a prize before the winners from each town are judged against each other for the chance to win a Merlin attractions family pass.
Open to ages three to 11, to take part you'll need a Pumpkin Passport to get stamped and collect treats. In West Malling, hunts take place on Friday, October 26, setting off from St Mary’s Abbey at 1pm, 1.45pm, 2.30pm and 3.15pm. The hunt costs £5 per child and grown-ups can go along for free.
