Multi-award winning singer Pixie Lott is set to star in the classic tale Breakfast at Tiffany's at the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury next March.
The 24-year-old will play the leading role as Holly Golightly in the production, which is based on the novella by Truman Capote.
This will be Lott's debut as an actress in a theatre play, something which she has always wanted to do.
She said: "Getting the opportunity to be in one of my all-time favourites and play this fabulous character is a dream come true."
Holly Golightly is most well-known due to the iconic portrayal of her by Audrey Hepburn's in the 1961 film directed by Blake Edwards.
Her story in 1940s New York City is told through the eyes of a young writer who is fascinated by her.
She is the vivacious, good-time girl that every woman wants to be, and every man wants to be with.
Lott said: "I am so excited to play Holly. I absolutely love her style and free spirit. She has always been an icon to me and I can't wait to bring my own personality to the role."
The story has been adapted by Pulitzer Prize finalist and Tony and Olivier Award-winning playwright Richard Greenberg and directed by Nikolai Foster.
The show will embark on a small tour before going to London's West End for a limited run. The Canterbury leg of Breakfast at Tiffany's will run between Tuesday, March 15 and Saturday, March 19, 2016.
Bromley-born Pixie Lott released her debut single, Mama Do (Uh Oh, Uh Oh) in June 2009 which went straight to number one in the UK Singles Chart.
She has since released four albums, including a collection of her biggest and favourite songs so far called Platinum Pixie, and she was a quarter finalist in Strictly Come Dancing 2014.
Tickets go on sale to Marlowe Friends today (Friday, June 5) and to the public from Friday, June 19. Prices range from £11 to £39.50. Visit www.marlowetheatre.com or call 01227 787787.
