On Friday night, the festival’s dedicated music stage the Shuck, at the end of the West Quay, will host the Hamish Stuart Band from 7pm.

On Saturday, August 1, the big annual finale to the Whitstable Oyster Festival takes place on Reeves Beach, when fireworks will light up the sky over the sea from 9.45pm to 10pm.
That same night, actor and radio host Craig Charles will bring his Funk and Soul Show Live DJ set to the Shuck music stage, with entertainment from 7pm. Tickets cost £16.
Comedian Iain Lee will bring a hilarious show to the Horsebridge Centre at 8pm on Saturday. The award-winning radio and TV presenter has a mass of funny clips to show which is sure to have you in stitches. Tickets in advance cost £12 or £14 on the door.
The festival will close on Sunday, August 2, with a community beach clean, meeting at the Old Neptune at 9am. Everyone is invited to give the festival staff and volunteers a helping hand in making Whitstable’s seafront look its best. As a thank you for getting involved, adults are then invited back to the Shuck for a sausage roll and a beer on the house.
The Whitstabubble beach party on the Tankerton Slopes promises a fun afternoon for the whole family on Friday, July 31, from 2pm to 4pm, with magicians to sing-alongs among the entertainment.
Let’s Fly A Kite will ensure the fun continues on Tankerton Slopes between 4pm and 6pm, with visitors invited to bring along their most colourful, exciting kite.
The Whitstable Carnival celebrates its 118th year. A spectacle in the town, floats, musicians and dancers will parade the streets to raise money for the Oyster Festival. It starts at Pier Avenue in Tankerton before winding its way to the end of Whitstable High Street.
Watch the parade on Saturday, August 1, at 6pm.
