It’ll be raining men - colourful, sassy ones - on stage in Dartford next week.
The Priscilla Queen of the Desert tour bus pulls up to the Orchard Theatre from Thursday, September 5, and waltzing off it will be Holby City, Casualty and Heartbeat star Joe McFadden, taking the lead role of Tick and whose dancing credentials for the show include being a past Strictly Come Dancing winner back in 2017.
The story sees three friends hop on board a battered old bus bound for the Outback to put on the show of a lifetime.
Their epic journey promises to be a heartwarming story of self-discovery, acceptance... and plenty of sassiness.
With more glitter than ever before, the hit show features a dazzling array of costumes and fabulous feathers as well as a non-stop parade of dance floor classics including It’s Raining Men, Hot Stuff, I Will Survive, I Love the Nightlife and Finally.
Joining Joe on stage will be Nick Hayes, who stars as Adam/Felicia, and as a seasoned West End performer has starred in the likes of Saturday Night fever, Legally Blonde and Mamma Mia. Miles Western stars as Bernadette, whose credits include Laurent the Wigmaker in Joel Schumacher's version of The Phantom of the Opera alongside Gerard Butler.
The show is also the first time audiences will get to see the new-look theatre after its major revamp which has been carried out through the summer.
It is at the theatre from Thursday, September 5 until Saturday, September 14. Book at orchardtheatre.co.uk or call 01322 220000.
