Your pet pooch probably often acts like he is king of the castle, but this weekend you can let him think he is!
Paws at the Castle rolls out the red carpet for hundreds of four-legged friend every year at Hever Castle.
The popular event has a packed programme of entertainment and boasts an impressive line-up of canines, from pedigree to cross breed and working dog to pampered pooch.
Over the weekend, visitors can enter their four legged friends in a fun dog show, with awards for the winners in each category.
There will be displays and entertainment from a variety of dogs, including guide dog puppies, Labrador rescue, and Newfoundland dogs in action. Huskies from the Siberian Husky Welfare Association will also be there, raising awareness and funds for the charity.
Visitors can also meet experts to talk about their dog’s behaviour and look at stalls selling dog-related goodies and accessories.
The castle and gardens welcome dogs on leads, and many dog owners like to bring their family pet for a walk in the grounds and around the lake.
Tried and tested dog walks to take the family on across Kent.
