A tribute festival will bring huge hits from the likes of Queen, Ed Sheeran and Oasis to crowds over the bank holiday weekend.
This year’s Kent Tribute Festival will have two stages packed with impersonators, from poptastic singers to rock icons, at Herne Bay’s Strode Park.
The festival will open with a performance from Harry Cambridge, a singer who recreates the soulful sounds of the Velvet Voice himself, Luther Vandross.
The music then continues throughout the day with hour-long sets from Rule the World, a Take That tribute band; Oasish, who will belt out tunes like Wonderwall and Supersonic; the Ed Sheeran Experience, a homage to one of the UK’s best-loved singer-songwriters; and Bon Giovi, who perform rock anthems by Bon Jovi.
The festival will end with a headline set from Magic Queen, a live band who bring classic hits from Freddie Mercury and co. to the stage.
Fans can expect to hear crowd-pleasers from the ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘80s, including We Will Rock You, I Want to Break Free, Bohemian Rhapsody, Another One Bites the Dust and more.
Throughout the day, there will also be family entertainment with activities such as lizard and reptile displays, birds of prey, face painting and an inflatable bouncy castle.
There will also be food stalls and bars selling beer, cider, spirits and wine and, although visitors cannot bring their own drinks on site, you can bring your own snacks for the day.
Since its inception, the festival has raised more than £60,000 for the Strode Park Foundation, a charity that provides care and support services for children and adults with disabilities.
The Kent Tribute Festival takes place on Sunday, August 25. You can book tickets online here.
There is no on-site parking, but the festival site is a 30-minute walk from Herne Bay train station.
