There are only three more sleeps until Christmas, the decorations are up, the presents bought and shopping is done – but what else could make the time more festive than a good old-fashioned panto?
Cinderella is showing at the Orchard Theatre in Dartford and it does not disappoint.
With glitz and glamour galore, the classic fairy tale is beautifully portrayed.
Thanks to Union J singer George Shelley, making his pantomime debut as Prince Charming, alongside EastEnders legend Bobby Davro as Buttons, the annual panto has done it again.
At every outfit change there was an "Ooh!", and when a stunning new set would appear there would be a gasp.
Silly songs, a bit of banter and classic panto dames stole the show.
Bobby was a blast while playing Cinderella’s best friend.
He had the perfect balance of innuendo jokes only the grown-ups would get and light-hearted teases that made the children giggle.
I’m a sucker for all things sparkly, and if you are too this is the show for you.
With added characters and a slight twist in the storyline, this Cinderella adaptation is like nothing you’ve seen before.
You can see all the hard work and effort put in by the cast as their stage chemistry was amazing.
Newcomer Ellie Jane Grant played Cinders and looked gorgeous, her singing was just as beautiful.
I also thought the dancing throughout was brilliant.
Dancing on Ice's reigning champion, Regan Gascoigne played Dandini – the prince's friend and was captivating to watch.
The backup dancers were also fabulous, with their dresses and tailcoats adding to the festive flare.
At one point in the show, there were even loo rolls being thrown around the audience - but you’ll have to see the panto to find out what that’s all about!
With the occasional Christmas carol, clever animatronics and enough cheer to make you smile from ear to ear the Cinderella pantomime is a must-see this Christmas.
