This year's Kent Ride and Stride will be on Saturday, September 11, and is organised by the Friends of Kent Churches.

It helps provide funds towards the upkeep of some of the county's 800 churches and chapels.

Participants plan their own routes to visit churches with open doors across the length and breadth of Kent.

Some cycle, some walk, some run, others decide to drive; some use e-bikes or motor bikes, push chairs, wheel chairs, canoes, scooters, skate boards, horses and prams.

Some visit two or three churches - others tick off more than 60.

.

The day is centred around churches but is not a religious event. Churches will be open from 10am to 6pm.
