A full-throttle festival is making its return for three days of riffs, rockstars and real ale.
Maid of Stone, named after the county town, is back at Mote Park for a second year after its successful debut last summer.
This July, huge rock bands including Mr Big, Wolfmother and Gun will be performing on the outdoor stages alongside rising talent and local artists.
‘90s band Mr Big were the first headliners to be announced, with the set expected to be one of their last UK shows as it comes at the end of their farewell tour, Big Finish.
The American group are best known for hit singles To Be With You and Just Take My Heart, along with their breakthrough album Lean Into It, released in 1991.
Australian hard rock band Wolfmother are also set to headline this year’s festival.
They will be making their debut in Maidstone this summer to perform tunes from their six studio albums, including singles Joker and the Thief and Woman.
The line-up also features Those Damn Crows, who have performed at Download Festival, former Iron Maiden and Wolfsbane singer Blaze Bayley and Scottish band Gun who are celebrating the 30th anniversary of their album Swagger.
Multi-Grammy Award-winning band Living Colour, known for fusing heavy metal music with funk, jazz and soul, and British bands Mason Hill, As December Falls and These Wicked Rivers are all set to appear.
You can find the full line-up here.
The New Blood Stage, which features up-and-coming unsigned bands, will also return, as well as a number of bars and food stalls, a VIP chillout area, street entertainers, a signing tent, axe throwing and camping and glamping options.
Festival booker Chris Wright said: “It’s going to be a great event with some of the best rock fans I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. We’re really building something special here in Maidstone and we literally cannot wait to open those gates in July.”
Maid of Stone takes place at Mote Park in Maidstone from Friday, July 19 to Sunday, July 21. Adult tickets start from £80 for one day and £150 for the weekend.
