Hundreds of Santas will be running through one of Kent’s biggest attractions this December.
The Medway Rotary Club will be hosting its annual Santa Fun Run at the Historic Dockyard Chatham to raise money for charity ahead of the festive season.
The event will see runners dress up in Santa suits and set out on a route across the historic site, passing the River Medway and the dockyard’s ships and buildings.
The route will also take runners through sets for films and TV shows such as Call the Midwife, Sherlock Holmes and Mr Selfridge.
Two professionally timed runs of either 5km or 10km will also take place before the Santa Fun Run sets off.
If you register for the Fun Run, you will receive your Santa suit which can be collected on the day.
Spectators are also allowed to come along and cheer on their Santas for free by registering online here.
The event begins with a procession led by the Bloco Fogo Band and there will be music from Dave Slate of MTD Disco until 2pm.
Those who are taking part in the run can also warm up with a dance session hosted by the Right Step Dance Company.
All participants will get a medal for completing the run. For more information and to sign up, click here.
The run takes place on Sunday, December 3 from 9am to 2pm at the Historic Dockyard Chatham.
