If you're in need of something to look forward to, tickets are now available for Santa Specials on one of the county's heritage railways.
The Spa Valley Railway in Tunbridge Wells , which reopens to visitors this weekend , will be staging the festive family days on selected dates throughout December.
Youngsters will meet Santa and get a present, plus a mince pie as well as the chance to have their photo taken with him.
The experience lasts for around two hours and trains will start at Eridge and journey to Tunbridge Wells West where everyone can get off and head to the Victorian engine shed for a photo opportunity with Santa and his sleigh before returning to Eridge. Presents will be given out on board the train.
Trains will run on Saturday, December 5 and Sunday, December 6; Saturday, December 12 and Sunday, December 13, and from Saturday, December 19to Christmas Eve, at 10am, noon and 3pm.

Or for a Premium Santa Special, you can have a compartment carrying six people to yourselves for £140, which also includes a snack box per person and a Christmas cracker.
When booking, for the Premium Compartment option, you need to click through the seating options to Coach D or Coach E.
Money raised from ticket sales goes to keeping the heritage railway, which is run by dedicated volunteers, open for all to enjoy.
