A ride on a Santa Special will feel like a proper festive treat - and that's not just for the kids!
But you'll need to act quick to get a seat for your family on one of the county's heritage railways as tickets are selling like hot mince pies. We've rounded up what's on offer across Kent.
Polar Express at the Spa Valley Railway, Tunbridge Wells
If you believe, be ready for a truly incredible winter experience as the Polar Express™ Train Ride pulls into Tunbridge Wells.
The 2004 blockbuster film will be recreated with jingling bells, the sound of a familiar whistle and the chance to climb aboard while wearing your cosy pyjamas on your way to the North Pole.
There will be food, hot chocolate and storytelling on board - and the chance to see Santa out of the window as you travel, with his magical sleigh, before he climbs on board too. Tickets are almost sold out, with just a handful left on some days. To book click here.
Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway
This year the heritage railway celebrates 40 years of Santa Specials.
Much may have changed since 1981, but the experience remains the same - steam trains and Santa Claus.
The Santa Special includes a return journey from New Romney to Hythe; a visit to Santa in his grotto; an age-related gift and seasonal refreshments. They cost £23 for adults, and £23 for children one to 15 with under ones £11.
Specials runs on weekends from Saturday, November 27, and from Tuesday, December 21 to Christmas Eve. Book by clicking here.
East Kent Railway Trust
Once a thriving industrial line serving the Kent coalfield, the four-mile round trip takes you on a scenic journey between the villages of Shepherdswell and Eythorne, with its rolling countryside and Golgotha Tunnel.
Santa Specials run on selected dates from Saturday, December 11 to Christmas Eve, with two dates already sold out - Sunday, December 20 and Christmas Eve, and tickets for others selling fast.
Tickets cost from £40. To book click here.
Sittingbourne and Kemsley Light Railway

Special fares apply, with adults getting seasonal refreshments and children choosing a gift from Santa’s selection in his grotto.
Some trains are already fully booked. Book tickets online here.
