Comedian Sara Pascoe has announced her first stand-up tour in three years.
The former Great British Sewing Bee host will kick off her new show, I Am a Strange Gloop, in June and is set to visit theatres all over the country – including four Kent venues.
Tickets for Sara’s new tour go on sale on Friday, November 8 at 10am. You can book tickets online here.
The show will see the ‘confessional comic’ ditch her old routines about sexual encounters and wild nights out and explore her latest era as a new mum.
Sara and her husband, Australian comedian Steen Raskopoulos, have two sons. The pair announced the birth of their first child on Valentine’s Day in 2022 and their second son was born in October last year.
Speaking of the new tour, Sara said: “I have grown to depend on touring, not only because of my deep love of performing stand-up, but also to avoid the difficult bedtimes of my unruly children.”
The London-born performer began her stand-up career in 2007 and, the following year, she was a runner-up in the Funny Women Award, which was won by Katherine Ryan.
Since then, the 43-year-old has appeared on a number of TV shows including Taskmaster, Live at the Apollo, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown and Mock the Week.
She also took over from Joe Lycett as the host of BBC One’s Great British Sewing Bee for two series in 2022.
Sara’s podcast with friend and fellow comic Cariad Lloyd, named Sara and Cariad’s Weirdos Book Club, launched in July last year and her 2019 book, Sex Money Power, was a Sunday Times bestseller.
Sara Pascoe’s tour, I Am a Strange Gloop, will make its first stop in Kent at the Assembly Hall Theatre in Tunbridge Wells on Thursday, October 23 2025.
The show will then visit Folkestone’s Leas Cliff Hall in November; Dartford’s Orchard Theatre in February 2026; and Canterbury’s Marlowe Theatre in March 2026.
