A seaside attraction is putting on a bumper weekend of free live music over the Easter bank holiday.
Folkestone’s Harbour Arm, which boasts a selection of food and drink outlets and outdoor performance spaces, will welcome visitors to enjoy live bands, singers and musicians over the four-day weekend.
It all kicks off with The Hysterics, a Kent-based covers band that plays decade-spanning rock and blues songs. The group will launch the weekend’s festivities at 2pm on Good Friday.
Singer Matt Bawtree, who is set to open for folk-punk singer Frank Turner at Leas Cliff Hall, will also perform on Friday evening.
On Saturday, visitors will be treated to live music from Folkestone’s own Heroes, a four-piece band that pays tribute to the new wave, ska and Mod revivals of the 1970s and 1980s, and Gumboots Reggae, who will bring the Caribbean vibes to the Kent coast.
Soulful singer Samuel Ashton will return to the tourist hotspot for a performance on Easter Sunday, followed by acoustic guitarist and busker Lucy May Walker.
The weekend will come to a close on Easter Monday with live music from The KD Dance Orchestra and Ginger Bennet, who will be belting out soul, RnB and rock numbers, and Swing Noir, a retro duo inspired by swing and jazz tunes from the 1930s to the 1960s.
Over the bank holiday weekend, children can also join in with the harbour’s Easter egg hunt.
One hundred eggs will be hidden around the harbour across the four days, and each egg is filled with a special prize from one of the harbour’s businesses, such as free adventure golf and food and drink vouchers.
Visitors can scour the seaside destination and hunt for the 25 eggs that will be scattered around each day of the Easter weekend.
