Guitarist Steve Jones, drummer Paul Cook, bassist Glen Matlock and vocalist Johnny Rotten formed the Sex Pistols in 1975 and released their debut single, Anarchy in the UK, in 1976.
The band made front-page news after their controversial appearance on Bill Grundy’s Today show and, with the addition of Sid Vicious and under the management of Malcolm McLaren, they became one of the country’s biggest punk bands.
The group disbanded in 1978 with only one studio album under their belt.
The three original band members and singer Frank Carter will be performing the album in full at a series of UK dates, including Download Festival, next year.
Frank Carter is known for fronting bands Gallows and Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes and is known for his confrontational and high-energy live performances.
The band will be supported at their Margate gig by The Stranglers and The Buzzcocks.
The Sex Pistols will be at Dreamland on Saturday, August 23 2025.
