If you’re looking forward to a takeaway this weekend, make it an Indian to round off National Curry Week 2014 in style.
The nationwide week held in recognition of the beauty of the bhuna, the majesty of the masala and the popularity of the poppadom started on Monday, October 13 and ends on Sunday.
To mark the occasion, we asked readers to vote for your favourite Kent curry house via our What’s On Facebook and Twitter pages, and the results are now in.
In first place was Shad Restaurant in Herne Bay.
Enthusiastic customer Linda Fish, who was one of many, said: “Provides the tastiest, freshest curries, a great atmosphere and really cares about customers.”
In second place was Naz’s Rasoi in Strood High Street. “Great food, great service and totally committed,” said Paul Beard, who was among the nominators for Naz's.
In third place was Ghandi in Herne Bay.
The runners-up, in no particular order, were:
The White House in Minster, Sheppey
The Raj Mahal in Whitfield, near Dover
Maharani in Sittingbourne

Flavours of Kumars in Ramsgate
