Multi-talented Matthew Kelly will star in To Sir, With Love, at Dartford’s Orchard Theatre.

An Olivier award-winning actor, Matthew has appeared in several West End productions and is also well known for presenting TV shows including You Bet! and Stars in Their Eyes.

To Sir, With Love is based on the autobiography of ER Braithwaite, a Guyanese novelist, writer, teacher, and diplomat.

Set in post-war England, it tells the story of Ricky Braithwaite, a black Cambridge graduate who begins his first teaching post in a tough East End school.

Supported by an enlightened headmaster, (Matthew Kelly), the determined teacher (RSC actor Ansu Kabia) fights to win over the students, while learning some lessons of his own.
